Waters, Carey and Mitchell on Booker longlist

<p>Sarah Waters, Peter Carey and David Mitchell are in the running for the 2006 Man Booker Prize for Fiction. Other prominent names on the longlist, announced today, include Howard Jacobson, Nadine Gordimer and Kate Grenville. The full list of 19 titles is:
