Conville & Walsh will be selling the rights to what it believes will be one of the big books of the Frankfurt Book Fair: a title by Anne Frank's former classmates.
World rights for By The Classmates of Anne Frank by Theo Coster will be agented by Patrick Walsh. The book includes seven first-hand testimonies of Frank's classmates, mediated and with a linking text by Coster.
Coster was a friend and classmate of Frank's in the Jewish Lyceum in Amsterdam. After the war he moved to Tel Aviv and created a games company. He contacted six other surviving classmates of Frank's and filmed a documentary in which they recounted their survival stories.
The title has been published in Dutch by Carrera in Holland, but this is the first time world rights will be sold.
