Walker saw turnover and operating profit rise in record 2019

Walker Books had a record year in 2019, with turnover increasing 7% and operating profit soaring 17%, newly released financial results for the 12 months ending 31st December 2019 show.

The results, recently uploaded to Companies House, pre-date a deal signed in April 2020 that saw Trustbridge Global Media, owned by private equity firm Trustbridge Partners, take a majority shareholding in the firm.

Accrding to the report, Walker's 2019 turnover increased to £81.2m from £75.9m in 2018. Turnover for the UK was stable, but increased to £69m from £64m in the rest of the world.
