Vintage Classics has partnered with online design brand MADE.COM to redesign the covers on a collection of three classics: The Great Gatsby, The Picture of Dorian Gray and The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.
The covers have been designed inhouse by MADE.COM and focus on the novels’ "evocative" settings, Sherlock Holmes’s study, Jay Gatsby’s dining room and Dorian Gray’s library. The conceit is that each of the pieces of furniture and homewares on the covers are part of MADE.COM’s current range and can be bought online from the retailer.
The reissues will be released on 2nd November in Vintage Classics’ b-format, flapped paperback style.
Charlotte Knight, senior editor at Vintage Classics, said: "We are very happy at Vintage Classics to be collaborating with MADE.COM. We have long been fans of their beautiful, innovative furniture and to capture their unique aesthetic on the covers of three beloved Vintage Classics is hugely exciting. These will be beautiful, unusual editions for stylish bookshelves."
Annabel Kilner, commercial director at MADE.COM, said: "MADE.COM are proud to partner with Vintage Classics to redesign the covers of three iconic novels. Design is at the heart of what we do, and we’re excited to have recreated the interiors of each novel to offer a MADE twist on these popular, classic books."
