Quadrille is to publish a new cookbook by vegan chef and Youtube "sensation" Gaz Oakley.
Publishing director Sarah Lavelle secured world rights to Vegan 100 from Zoe Ross at United Agents.
Tipped to be "the Jamie Oliver of vegan food", Oakley’s recipes are first and foremost about flavour, said the publisher. "Vegan 100 will feature "bold and vibrant food that cleverly replicates the texture and flavours of meat and dairy dishes and showcases Gaz’s talent as one of the most exciting new chefs to watch", it added.
Lavelle said: "We were blown away by Gaz’s gorgeous photos and recipes before we even met him. He’s an absolute dynamo of energy, ideas and creativity. His dishes are something special; this is innovative, appealing cooking."
Oakley, who has nearly 200,000 subscribers on Youtube, said: "It was a dream come true signing with Quadrille. I truly believe this cook book will create waves throughout the global vegan community & entice meat eaters to give vegan food a try. I cannot wait to share my innovative recipes."
Quadrille will publish Vegan 100 in the UK and Australia in January 2018 and the US in February 2018.
