VAT threat to multiple supply

<p>Children's publishers could face a rise in VAT rates on some products after a tightening of tax guidelines on non-book items.</p><p>A recent test case has seen HM Customs&amp;Excise update its directions on the application of VAT on different products supplied together, such as books packaged with tapes or toys.
