People working in publishing in the US received an average pay rise of 2.8% in 2013, according to a new survey.
The study, carried out by Publishers Weekly, shows that the level of growth was the same as in 2012.
However, 19% of survey respondents reported that they received no pay rise across 2013. 25% saw a rise of between 2% and 2.9%, while a further 20% of staff saw growth of between 3% and 3.9%. Overall, 74% of people responding to the survey saw raise of under 4%.
The survey was based on responses from around 800 members of staff at publishing houses in the US.
