Unbound authors will from now on have access to marketing advice from Lounge Marketing after the two companies struck a partnership.
Under the terms of the deal, which is effective immediately, Unbound authors will receive advice on working with book bloggers and booksellers, securing online reviews, using social media effectively and improving their paid-for marketing activity.
Sam Missingham, who founded Lounge Marketing earlier this year, will offer authors discounts on on courses and marketing books via her website Lounge Books, and act as a digital marketing consultant to Unbound.
John Mitchinson, Unbound’s chief publishing officer, said: “Sam Missingham is a book industry legend: no one has thought more deeply or imaginatively about digital marketing in all its manifestations. She brings decades of front-line experience and the wisdom that goes with it. What most publishers talk about, Sam has built, tested and turned into profit for publishers and authors alike. We have been fans of Lounge Marketing since its launch and this formal partnership will be a fantastic resource for all our authors.’
Missingham added: “As a long time fan, I am thrilled to be working with Unbound. Lounge Marketing is all about empowering authors with the skills and knowledge needed to keep selling their books. This partnership shows Unbound’s commitment to keep adding value to their authors. I can’t wait to start working with the Unbound authors.”
