Two new Millie Marotta colouring books to Batsford

Pavilion imprint Batsford has signed two new colouring books for adults by Millie Marotta.

Batsford publisher Tina Persaud acquired world rights in the books from Karolina Sutton at Curtis Brown.

Pavilion has previously released two colouring books for adults by Marotta – Millie Marotta’s Animal Kingdom and Millie Marotta’s Tropical Wonderland.

The first book in the new deal will be Millie Marotta’s Wild Savannah, will “whisk colouring fans away to the swaying grasslands of the savannahs, not only in Africa, but also Asia, South America and Australia where they can colour in natural wonders ranging from acacia trees to giant anteaters, kangaroos and zebras”.

Persaud said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be working with Millie again. It’s been a fantastic journey so far and we’re looking forward to a very distinct book which, as always, refreshes the parts that other colouring books cannot reach. As the publisher of Batsford, where we published the wonderful illustrations of Brian Cook many decades ago, I am very pleased that Millie, one of Britain's most talented new illustrators, is leading the list today.”

Millie Marotta’s Wild Savannah: A Colouring Book Adventure will be published in £9.99 paperback in February 2016.
