Four more staff have left Waterstones’ e-commerce team after a restructure of the department.
Kate Hames, business delivery manager, and Dominic Kennerk, senior online product planner and buyer, Robert Chilver, content coordinator and Jenny Moore, email designer, have left the business. According to LinkedIn, Kennerk has worked at Waterstones since 1994 and Hames since 2006, while Chilver has been at Waterstones for a eight years.
Their departures follow that of Ed Amritage, who left the position of e-commerce director at the chain last month “to pursue other interests”.
The e-commerce operation at Waterstones encompasses the loyalty card and social media as well as book sales. Last month, Waterstones m.d James Daunt told The Bookseller the retailer was preparing for a busy period in the area, with a small internal development team focusing on improving the chain's loyalty card.
A spokesperson for Waterstones said: “We confirm that Kate Hames, Dominic Kennerk, Robert Chilver and Jenny Moore have left Waterstones as we make a number of further structural changes, following the departure last month of Ed Armitage, within the e-commerce department.
“We thank them for their hard work and dedication during their collective years of service and wish them well in all their future endeavours.”
