Kimberley Young, publisher at HarperFiction, has acquired two further books from bestselling author Barbara Erskine in a high six-figure deal.
The deal for the two as-yet-untitled books includes world all languages rights in a deal struck between publisher Kimberley Young and agent Carole Blake at Blake Friedmann.
The books are said to be in Erskine's "usual timeslip genre, which has inspired a generation of writers" and will be published as summer hardbacks in 2018 and 2020, with spring paperbacks due in 2019 and 2021.
This year marks 30 years since HarperCollins published Erskine's Lady of Hay, which, according to Young, has sold over 3m copies.
Outside of this deal, HarperCollins is also publishing what will be Erskine's 17th novel, Sleeper's Castle, on 30th June.
Erskine said: “I am thrilled with the new contract with HarperCollins and especially in this anniversary year of the first publication of Lady of Hay. A very special year with some wonderful memories and two new books coming up to celebrate.”
