Saltyard has acquired two cookery titles for publication in spring 2015: one from Australian blogger Katie Quinn Davies and the other from the founder of the Vanilla Black restaurant in London.
What Katie Ate at the Weekend is the second cookery book from Davies, a food photographer and blogger. Saltyard acquired the UK and European rights from Penguin Lantern in Australia and will publish in April next year.
Davies’ first book, What Katie Ate, was published by Collins in 2013.
Saltyard’s second acquisition is Vanilla Black: Fresh Flavours For Your Vegetarian Kitchen by Andrew Dargue. Dargue founded London's Vanilla Black restaurant in 2004 and the book contains some of his most popular recipes, including Savoy cabbage pudding, broad bean and parsnip cake with Horlicks icing.
Saltyard acquired world rights from Victoria Hobbs and A M Heath and will publish just before National Vegetarian Week next year (18th-24th May).
