Avon commissioning editor Caroline Hogg has made her first acquisition for the publisher, a two-book deal with debut writer Liz Trenow.
Hogg acquired UK and Commonwealth rights, excluding Canada, from agent Caroline Hardman of the Christopher Little Literary Agency. The first novel is lined up for September 2012 and is set during the Second World War.
Hogg said: “I am absolutely delighted to have made my first acquisition for Avon but, moreover, I’m thrilled that Liz is joining the list. She is a naturally talented writer and has woven her own family’s history into this truly engaging novel.
"It’s a beautiful story and I can’t wait to publish it.”
