TV deal for Pan Mac's Hannah

Pan Macmillan has signed crime writer Mari Hannah for two more books, while television rights for her Kate Daniels series have also been optioned.

Gina Carter and Stephen Fry at Sprout Pictures optioned television rights in a deal in a deal with Daniel Nixon at Blake Friedmann on behalf of Oliver Munson at AM Heath & Co.

Carter said: "Stephen and I are thrilled to be working with Mari on bringing the extraordinary Kate Daniels to life. I loved Kate from the start, her personal life is as captivating, intriguing and as complex as the cases she investigates."

Pan Macmillan has published four books in the Northumberland-set series, with a fifth, Killing for Keeps, due in December. Wayne Brookes has signed two more titles in the series, with the first due for publication in 2016.
