TV deal for A K Benedict

Company Pictures, the production company behind adaptations of The White Queen and Wolf Hall, has acquired a TV option for A K Benedict’s The Beauty of Murder (Orion).

The debut novel alternates between present day Cambridge and the 17th century, and features a time-travelling serial killer.

The deal was struck with Company Pictures, which is also behind long-running programmes such as "Shameless" and "Skins", by Meg Davis at Ki Agency on behalf of Rupert Heath at the Rupert Heath Literary Agency.

The Beauty of Murder was released in paperback this month.
