Transworld has bought world rights for a third historical vampire novel by Jasper Kent. Simon Taylor of Transworld acquired the rights from literary agent John Jarrold.
Kent's debut novel Twelve was published earlier this year by Transworld imprint Bantam Press. His second novel in the sequence, Thirteen Years Later, is due out from Bantam in early 2010.
The third book does not yet have a title, but is scheduled for publication in 2011.
Jarrold said: "Jasper’s debut has already been a remarkable success, with four reprints of the trade paperback within a few months of publication and over 13,000 copies now in print.
"Simon and his colleagues at Transworld have done a wonderful job, and word of mouth has obviously been very strong. It’s great to have this deal in place for an author who is already going places."
