Transworld has acquired the autobiography of cyclist Sean Yates, who is one of only five Britons to have worn the yellow jersey in the Tour de France.
Editorial director Giles Elliott bought world rights in the title from Kevin Pocklington of Jenny Brown Associates.
Yates, now 52, retired from cycling last year after overseeing Bradley Wiggins’ wins in the Tour de France and Olympics time trial as head sporting director of Team Sky.
Transworld will publish in autumn 2013.
