In what was described as a heated auction, Selina Walker at Transworld has acquired world rights in a high-concept conspiracy thriller series by screen-writer David Young.
Set in the US, Young's first novel, Lockdown, features Sean Lock who uncovers a terrifying conspiracy to test deadly iseases and their vaccines on American political prisoners. "I read it in ne gulp," said Walker, who described Lockdown as "Jack Reacher meets '24’—simply one of the most exciting, page-turning and commercial débuts that I’ve read in a long time, and one that has ‘film’ written all over it."
Walker acquired three novels (all of which will be branded with the "Lock" title) from Luigi Bonomi for an undisclosed sum.
