Trade divided on LBF's March move

Publishers and agents are divided on the London Book Fair's decision to shift the event from April to March in 2019 and 2020. While the move has been largely well-received, some have expressed concern it could put additional time pressure on agents.

The decision to change the exhibition date to March follows research LBF conducted with attendees directly after the fair in March 2017, showing this was the' "favoured" option.

Association of Authors' Agents president Lizzy Kremer welcomed the news, saying it not only accommodated families but it would be "good for the market" too.
