Bookouture is to publish two new books from Tracy Bloom, author of No-One Ever Has Sex on a Tuesday.
Jenny Geras, publishing director at Bookouture, acquired world English rights from Madeleine Milburn at the Madeleine Milburn Literary Agency.
The deal reunites Bloom with Geras, who also published her at Arrow. Arrow signed Bloom’s self-publishing success with her first two novels. Bloom has now sold over half a million copies of her books, according to the publisher.
The first book in the new contract will be No-one Ever Has Sex on Christmas Day, published this autumn, and the second, The Last Laugh, will publish in March 2018.
Geras said: "I am absolutely over the moon to be working with Tracy again. No-one Ever Has Sex on Christmas Day is the book I have always wanted Tracy to write and The Last Laugh is an incredibly exciting step for Tracy - a book that will bring her to a whole new audience as well as appealing to her existing fans. She is a huge talent and the most delightful author to work with."
Bloom said: "I have long admired Bookouture’s vision and excellence in digital publishing, making them the natural place for me to continue to grow my readership. It's a massive bonus to get to work with Jenny again who has always been such a huge supporter of my writing."
Milburn said she was "delighted" to be reunited with Bloom at the M M Agency. "Understanding the history of her career, I see Bookouture as the perfect home for her books offering the editorial and publishing expertise of a traditional publisher with the pricing flexibility and dynamism of self-publishing."
