'Totally Rank': the book trade's verdict on World Cup 2010?

The book trade has delivered its own frank verdict of the England football team's poor performance in the 2010 World Cup, with the memoir of England footballer Frank Lampard appearing online on booksellers' websites under the title "Totally Rank". The proper title for the book, which is published by HarperCollins, should be Totally Frank (9780007382217).

The mistake appears to date back to the publication of the digital edition at the end of April, with the typo appearing on the bibliographic record of the ebook. A number of retailers, such as Amazon.co.uk and Waterstone.com have now corrected the error, but others, including The Book Depository and BookRabbit, have left it <a href="http://www.google.com/search?source=ig&hl=en&rlz=&=&q=97... target="_blank" title="Google Search">unchanged. The original error was made well before the weekend's match, in which the England team lost 4-1 to Germany.

In the Guardian on Saturday Lampard was named as one of the most mis-firing players of World Cups having had 33 shots at goal but scoring none.
