President of Franklin & Siegal Associates Todd R Siegal is set to retire at the end of 2025, after 39 years of scouting.
The upcoming Frankfurt Book Fair in October 2025 will be his last. Danny Yanez, current vice-president of FSA, will take over as president and sole proprietor on 1st January 2026. Siegal and Yanez have been partners in the agency, which will be renamed Franklin Siegal & Yanez in 2026, since 2023.
In his announcement to clients, Siegal said: “I can’t begin to tell you how much I’ve loved building Franklin & Siegal over the years and I am extremely proud of the legacy I am leaving behind. Beyond that, I am thrilled to be able to pass the reins to Danny, who, as you know, has done a brilliant job taking FSA to the next level. There’s no doubt I am leaving you all in the best possible hands.”

Yanez said: “I’m proud and excited to build on Todd and Lynn’s [Lynn C Franklin, with whom Siegal formed FSA] Franklin & Siegal Associates legacies and to continue to elevate the agency’s stature in 2026 and beyond. We’ve been in business this long thanks to our cherished and lasting relationships with clients and publishing partners around the world and this approach will remain at the forefront of everything we do.”
Siegal began his publishing career in 1983 at the literary agency Lescher & Lescher and joined Lynn C Franklin Associates in 1986 as a scout. Siegal and Franklin founded FSA in 1992, splitting it off from Franklin’s eponymous literary agency; the agency continued until Franklin’s death in 2021.
Yanez began his publishing career in 2004 at the University of Chicago Press, then worked in publishing and editorial roles at Alfred A Knopf and Vintage Books. He joined Franklin & Siegal Associates as a scout in 2012.
FSA’s client base spans Europe, Asia and Latin America. The agency is the exclusive feature-film scout for Universal Studios.
