Titan Books will launch its new website, http://www.titanbooks.com" target="_blank">www.titanbooks.com on Monday, to coincide with leading comic book event San Diego Comic-Con, which opens on July 21st.
The culture book publisher worked with digital agency Zone to develop the site as part of its over-arching digital strategy, which has so far included the launch of iPhone and iPad apps earlier this year. The site will provide news on many of brands that Titan publishes including 'The Simpsons', 'Supernatural', 'Batman', 'Star Wars' and Mark Millar’s 'Kick-Ass' and will also link closely with related omics sites and social networking sites. Zone has previously developed sites for Penguin, Film Four and The Economist.
Katy Wild, Titan Books' editorial director, said: “Our collaboration with Zone on this project was a very positive experience and the site has surpassed our expectations. Titanbooks.com looks and feels like a great destination to find content that furthers a user’s experience of the many exceptional brands we work with.
"Being able to showcase our products, and offer exclusive material from our authors in such a rich environment, really helps launch us into the new digital era.”
A key feature of the site will be a blog run by Titan's marketing team - which was short-listed for Marketing Campaign of the Year at this year's Bookseller Industry Awards - and will include interviews with Titan’s authors and artists and exclusive video interviews with Millar and comics legend Joe Simon, guest blogs, sample chapters, sneak previews, video content and quizzes.
There will also be a weekly newsletter, a competition page and a page dedicated to showcasing upcoming book events and signings across the UK.
