Titan Books has signed a deal with TV presenter and newly fledged comic-book writer Jonathan Ross and illustrator Tommy Lee Edwards for a collection of new graphic novel series Turf.
The first graphic novel by the avowed fan and collector Ross, Turf is just out from US publisher Image. Set in Prohibition-era New York, the novel follows a young reporter and features a family of vampires.
Titan m.d. Nick Landau acquired world English-language rights, excluding the US and Canada, for the collection directly from Ross and Edwards. Image will publish in the US.
Four further comic books will follow over the next year, to be accumulated in the volume, which wil be published as a hardback in spring 2011.
