Three from Chance to Macmillan

Three from Chance to Macmillan

Macmillan has signed three novels from Rebecca Chance for "a good six-figure sum".

Publishing director Wayne Brookes did the deal with Anthony Goff at David Higham Associates.

Chance is the pseudonym of Lauren Henderson, a prolific author of detective novels, YA, and non-fiction. As Chance, she has written several "glamorous thriller", including Divas, Bad Girls and Killer Heels, all published by Simon & Schuster.

Goff said: "Rebecca Chance is a fast-rising star and I’m delighted that she’s moving to the team at Macmillan, who are such an energetic and creative powerhouse."

Brookes added: "Rebecca Chance is a first-rate storyteller. Her perfect blend of dark suspense, sexy thrills and outrageous glamour are what made me desperate to have her on the list. Rebecca gives her readers the perfect escape, whilst dragging them into a glitzy world that’s very often laced with corruption, stalkers and downright bad behaviour. There is something for everyone in her books."

The first of her books for Macmillan, Chasing Midnight, will be published in summer 2015.
