Kyle Books, part of the Octopus Publishing Group, will published Katie and Giancarlo Caldesi's The 30 Minute Diabetes Cookbook: Eat to Beat Diabetes with 100 Easy Low‐carb Recipes in March 2021.
Joanna Copestick, publisher, acquired world rights in all languages from Jonathan Hayden at Hayden Literary Agents.
Giancarlo was diagnosed with type two diabetes in 2012. Since then he has lost nearly four stone and his diabetes is in constant remission after adopting a low‐carb diet. The Caldesis have previously written The Diabetes Weight‐Loss Cookbook (Kyle Books, 2019) and The Reverse Your Diabetes Cookbook (Kyle Books, 2020).
This latest title will offer "quick and delicious recipes to help beat diabetes type two for good" and will feature weekday suppers, no‐cook meals, feasts for special occasions and desserts, as well as a month of daily meal plans, says the publisher.
The book will also include a foreword by GP and diabetes specialist Dr David Unwin. The science behind the recipies has been written by nutritionist Jenny Phillips.
Copestick said: "Katie and Giancarlo are the go‐to‐chefs when it comes to delicious home‐cooked recipes for preventing and reversing type two diabetes while also watching your weight."
The authors said: "Our low‐carb lifestyle is the constant saviour of Giancarlo’s life. We loved writing this book as it meant we developed a repertoire of easy, quick and healthy meals to whip up after work."
