T&F snaps up Laurence Erlbaum Associates

<p>T&F Informa has acquired US academic publisher Laurence Erlbaum Associates for a rumoured price tag of US$70m (&#163;37.5m).
LEA specialises in the behavioural sciences and education, and publishes around 100 journals and 200 new books a year. In 2005 it recorded a turnover of US$21m (&#163;11.5m).
The move comes in line with plans by T&F to bolster its presence in psychology and also in the US market. The new list will sit alongside Routledge and Psychology Press under the T&F Group umbrella. LEA titles are already sold outside the US, but the deal is expected to boost their internation...
