Orchard Books has acquired a new YA trilogy by Teri Terry, set during an illness epidemic.
The Dark Matter Trilogy centres around 16-year-old Shay who lives in a world where those infected with the disease die within hours and the government is burning the bodies.
Megan Larkin, publishing director for Orchard Books brokered a three-book deal for world rights with Caroline Sheldon at Caroline Sheldon Literary Agency. Book one is currently scheduled for release in February 2017, with books two andthree to follow at a later date.

Set in today’s world, Dark Matter combines scientific advances and the moral dilemmas they can present, with complex teenage characters with their own agendas – all my favourite things to write about. I can’t wait to dive in.”
