TBP enters staff talks

<p>Direct sales company The Book People is consulting with staff in Haydock, Leigh and Warrington on proposals to restructure its distribution and call centres.</p><p>It is believed that a number of its 400 employees could lose their jobs, while others will be transferred to new locations. The consultation period ends on 24th April.</p><p>Roddy Barrow, finance director, said that nothing had been decided about the Warrington call centre, Haydock distribution centre or temporary storage facility in Leigh.
