Broadcaster and TV and radio presenter Margherita Taylor will host the 2014 hClub 100 Awards to celebrate the most innovative and inspirational people working across the creative industries over the last 12 months.
Ten people will be awarded in each of 10 categories: advertising, marketing and PR; art and design; broadcast; creative entrepreneurs; fashion; film; gaming and tech; music; publishing and writing; and theatre and performance. The judges for the publishing and writing category are: The Bookseller editor Philip Jones; Simon Trewin, head of the London Literary Department at WME talent and literary agency; and Guy Woodward, chair of the British Society of Magazine Editors..
Taylor said: “I am delighted to be hosting the h.Club 100 Awards and very much look forward to working with the team at The Hospital Club. The Club embodies all that is dynamic and inspirational about the arts, and I look forward to the night itself celebrating the very people who contribute to make our creative industries so exciting.”
In 2014 the h.Club 100 is supported by the British Council Young Creative Entrepreneur Programme, Creative England and University of the Arts London.
Last year Anna Davis, director of Curtis Brown Creative, author and illustrator Laura Dockrill and the founders of The Kitschies awards, Anne Perry and Jared Shuring, were among the 10 names chosen as the most inspirational and innovative in the publishing and writing industry.
This year’s awards ceremony will be held at The Hospital Club in London on Wednesday 8th October.
