T&F's Callanan emphasises need for sustainable funding models

Taylor & Francis chief executive Annie Callanan has said that one of the greatest challenges for the academic and education sector is “this notion that our output should be free”, in an interview at FutureBook 2020.

Callanan, also president of the Publishers Association, spoke in conversation with The Bookseller’s editor Philip Jones of the need for sustainable funding models to enable the work of academic publishers in commissioning, validating and curating content, ultimately benefiting society, to continue.
