Summersdale’s sales and export director Nicky Douglas will be leaving the company on 29th March after more than 14 years in the role.
She will be travelling for several months before moving to Australia.
Philippa Painter, most recently deputy foreign rights director at the Quarto Publishing Group, will be joining Summersdale on 6th April as key account manager.
Her other notable roles have included foreign sales manager at both Tony Potter Publishing and Michael O’Mara, and international sales executive at Egmont Books.
The publisher said: "Painter will be building and maintaining the outstanding relationships we have with our UK high street and online retailers and wholesalers, as well as maximising all front-list, back-list, custom and special sales opportunities."
She will also be managing some key export accounts, and will be reporting into sales director, David Edyvean.
Last year, Summersdale was acquired by the Octopus Publishing Group for an undisclosed sum.
