Children's author Darren Shan and political commentator Tariq Ali are among the writers appearing at east London independent Newham Bookshop's autumn series of events.
The quarterly programme begins next Wednesday (20th August) when comedian Mark Steel holds a talk at Stratford Circus to publicise his new book What's Going On?.
Children's poet Michael Rosen will appear at the same venue on 6th September and will read poetry and stories including from his new book Dear Mother Goose.
Darren Shan will appear at Stratford Circus on 5th October and read from Wolf Island, the latest in his Demonata series. Tariq Ali will discuss his latest book on Pakistan, The Duel, when he appears at Stratford Circus on 1st October.
Other authors in the programme include human rights campaigner Raja Shehadeh and comedian Andy Hamilton.
