Stripes Publishing, an imprint of the Little Tiger Group, has bought a novel by debut author Gabriel Dylan for its Red Eye horror list.
Whiteout is a psychological horror set in a remote Alpine ski resort. During a school trip, a snowstorm cuts off a group of teens from the rest of the world. The only person who seems to know some of the resort’s long-buried secrets is the ski-guide, Hanna, but no-one is sure whether they can trust her.
Commissioning editor Katie Jennings bought world rights from Polly Nolan at the Greenhouse Literary Agency and will publish in January.
“Red Eye books get under your skin and linger long after reading, and Whiteout does exactly that,” said Jennings. “Debut author Gabriel Dylan delivers chills and thrills by the bucketload, creating a cast of characters you desperately want to see escape their snowbound captivity. One thing’s for sure, after reading this you’ll never want to go skiing again.”
