BBC Books is to publish two tie-in titles for this year's new series of BBC1 show "Strictly Come Dancing", including a step-by-step guide for the first time.
Strictly Come Dancing: Dance Yourself Fit will be published on 10th December to tie in with the seventh season's finale and the live tour which begins next January.
The £9.99 paperback is an introduction to the ballroom and Latin dances featured on the show, and will include a brief history of each dance, plus 12 step-by-step classes. "Strictly" dancers Erin Boag, Anton du Beke, Darren Bennett and Lilia Kopylova will demonstrate each move, with diagrams showing the male and female steps. The book is written by dance teachers Kele Baker and Ralf Schiller, who choreograph the Argentine Tango on the show and will promote on publication.
BBC Books is also again publishing the Strictly Come Dancing Annual 2010 (£12.99, h/b, 8th October). The title will include the inside scoop on all the celebrities, interviews with the dancers and judges, and a "special report" on last year's surprise act, John Sergeant, according to the publishers. There will also be Strictly Bingo and a board game inside.
