Stanfords chooses web over store

<p>Travel retailer Stanfords is working on a new website, which it hopes to develop into an &quot;information service&quot; offering 80,000 stock lines. The bookseller, which operates shops in central London and Bristol, plans to launch the site by the autumn.</p><p>The company decided to invest in the website as opposed to opening another store as a way of developing its offer. The new site will provide reviews, articles, news stories and information about destinations plus interviews with various travel publishers. <br />&nbsp;</p>
