Simon and Schuster editorial director Mike Jones has bought a biography of the Miliband brothers by political commentator Lance Price and the Guardian's political correspondent Allegra Stratton.
Jones acquired UK and Commonwealth rights from agent Broo Docherty and will publish in
autumn 2011.
Price, a former media adviser to Tony Blair, said: "The Milibands make for a fascinating story—from their parents’ escape from the Nazis in wartime Belgium to David and Ed’s careers at the heart of New Labour.
"Inevitably the leadership election has created tensions, whatever they may say in public . . . if you scratch beneath the surface of the very polished image that both brothers project there is a conflict that goes to the heart of what Labour stands for."
Stratton described the Milibands as "the most compelling set of political brothers since the Kennedys."
