Simon and Schuster Children’s Books has acquired four books from author and illustrator Sue Hendra.
Lara Hancock, editorial director of picture books, bought the world rights from Vicki Willden-Lebrecht at Bright.
Hancock said: “Working with Sue is a delight and we can't wait to see what hilarious characters she comes up with next. A new book from Sue is always a treat and we are thrilled to have secured four new titles to our list.”
The books are currently untitled. The first will be released in spring next year with the second to following the autumn. The third and fourth books will bereleased in 2016.
SueHendra has worked as an author and illustrator for 15 years and was named as one of four "author brands: the next generation" by The Bookseller in January .
Supertato, her latest book, will be published by S&S Children’s on 19th June.
