Granta and Portobello have signed up two new books for publication in spring 2015.
Portobello has signed world rights in non-fiction title Aftershock by Reuters special correspondent Matthew Green, looking at how servicemen and women adapt to life outside of combat.
Aftershock draws on nterviews with veterans and their families to look at the hidden cost of combat. Laura Barber did the deal with Sophie Lambert at Conville & Walsh.
Granta has signed a new novel from Peter Stamm, a finalist for the 2013 Man Booker International Prize. His novel All Days Are Night, has already been released in Germany, and follows the story of a life impacted by tragedy. Michael Hoffman will translate. Barber signed UK and Commonwealth rights from Lauren Shekari of Other Press.
