The title and publication date of the new Robert Galbraith novel, featuring Cormoran Strike and Robin Ellacott, has been revealed by Sphere. The fifth book is Troubled Blood and will come out in hardback on 29th September 2020. E-book and audio editions will also be available.
Troubled Blood follows Lethal White (2018), which was the fastest-selling Strike novel to date. According to Little, Brown, the audio edition, narrated by Robert Glenister, is Hachette Audio’s fastest-selling fiction audiobook ever; it was shortlisted for Audiobook of the Year at the British Book Awards 2019 and won the Audible Sounds of Crime Award at Crimefest 2019.
The first four novels in the Cormoran Strike series are: The Cuckoo’s Calling (2013), The Silkworm (2014), Career of Evil (2015) and Lethal White (2018), which all topped national and international bestseller lists. The series has also been adapted into a BBC Drama series by Brontë Film and Television.
All together, Robert Galbraith–a pseudonym for J K Rowling–has sold 1.31 million copies of the whodunits for £10.1m through the UK TCM, with The Cuckoo’s Calling the bestseller at 336,314 copies sold in paperback.
