Sphere has acquired two crime thriller by debut novelist Mark Hill.
Senior Editor Ed Wood bought world English rights to The Two O’Clock Boy and its sequel from Jamie Cowen at The Ampersand Agency.
The Two O’Clock Boy follows the fallout from terrible events that happened in a London orphanage 30 years before. Now, a mysterious figure named The Two O’Clock Boy is killing everyone who grew up there, one by one.
Detective Ray Drake will do anything to stop the murders, but will go even further to cover up the truth.
Wood said: “Mark Hill is one hell of a storyteller, with an encyclopaedic knowledge of crime fiction. His love of the genre is burnt into every gripping page, and in Ray Drake, he’s created an antihero to stand alongside Luther and Dexter – but with a hugely original twist we can’t reveal.”
The Two O’Clock Boy will be published in autumn 2016.
