Little Brown imprint Sphere has acquired The Nerdy Nummies Cookbook: Sweet Treats for the Geek in All of Us by YouTube star Rosanna Pansino (November, £16.99).
Pansino, who is 30 and based in the US, has been making geeky-themed baking videos on her YouTube channel since 2011 and has over 4 million subscribers and an average of 50 million views a month.
Hannah Boursnell, editorial director at Sphere, said: “Nerdy Nummies is everything that the internet loves: seriously tasty baked goods and all things geeky, whether that’s video games, your favourite SFF characters or just some good old-fashioned maths and science.” Recipes include “Apple Pi Pies” and “Zombie Brain Cakes”. Boursnell acquired UK and Commonwealth rights from Cathryn Summerhayes on behalf of Erin Malone at WME and will publish in hardback and e-book in November.
Pansino said: “Making a Nerdy Nummies cookbook is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, I hope long time viewers and first time readers will enjoy the recipes in the book as much as I enjoyed creating them.”
The book will be published in the US earlier in the same month by Simon & Schuster US.
