Octopus Publishing Group’s Mitchell Beazley imprint to publish a special edition of Marco Pierre White’s cookbook White Heat, to celebrate 25 years since its release.
The edition will include a new 64-page section with previously unpublished images by Bob Carlos Clarke and contributions from chefs who have worked alongside Marco Pierre White or been influenced by him, including Raymond Blanc, Anthony Bourdain, Tom Kerridge and Gordon Ramsay.
The book was originally published by Octopus Publishing Group. Publishing director Stephanie Jackson said: “Cookbook publishing was polite, civilised and a little bit dull until Marco Pierre White came along and revolutionised the industry nearly 25 years ago. It’s been an honour to work with him, and I’m thrilled to be bringing back the book that inspired so many of the chefs who followed Marco into the kitchen.”
Mitchell Beazley will launch the book with a pre-publication event at Fortnum & Mason’s flagship store on London’s Piccadilly, followed by an exhibition of Bob Carlos Clarke’s photographs from the book at The Little Black Gallery in Chelsea from 10th February to 10th March.
The book will be published in February 2015 as a £25 hardback.
