Megan Smith has been appointed to the new role of special sales director for Hodder & Stoughton, John Murray Press, Headline Publishing Group, Quercus Publishing and Hachette Children’s Group.
Smith joins from Penguin Random House, where her most recent role was sales development manager. At Hachette she will set up a special sales unit. She begins her new role on 5th October.
Lucy Hale, group sales director, said: “I am delighted that Megan will be joining us to set up a new special sales unit and the management teams from each of the divisions very much look forward to working closely with her. She will bring energy and focus to the special sales channel, developing our brand partnerships and working across the lists to further develop our relationships with new and existing customers.”
Smith said: “I am thrilled to be joining Hachette UK in this new role and am looking forward to working with the fantastic authors and brands on the Hachette Children’s, Headline, Hodder, John Murray Press and Quercus lists.”
