Seven schools – four primary and three secondary – have made it onto the shortlist for the SLA award for school library design.
The award, run by the School Library Association (SLA) alongside library supplier Gresswell and school furniture designer LFC, is for school libraries that show innovation and creativity in its design.
This year there will be two awards given, one for a primary school library and one for a secondary school, and SLA director Trisha Adams said she was “very impressed” with the standard of the entries.
The winners will be announced at a Celebration of Libraries Day on 6th October.
