Head of Zeus has paid a six-figure sum for a new trilogy for ages 12 and over by actor John Barrowman and his writer sister Carole.
Editorial director Laura Palmer bought UK and Commonwealth rights in Hollow Earth Unbound in a deal with Georgina Capel at Capel & Land.
Palmer also bought a third book in the original Hollow Earth trilogy. The series will launch in July 2015, following the adventures of twins Matt and Em Calder.
Palmer said: “Carole and John’s stories are set in this fantastic world, where gifted children can bring their own art to life. It’s such a cool superpower.”
