Silverdell organises Bloomin' Good Festival

<p>SilverDell Books owner Elaine Silverwood has organised a mini-literary festival featuring the likes of Mark Billingham and Tess Gerritsen which takes place next week. The Bloomin&#39; Good Books Festival will be held from 19th to 22nd August as part of the Southport Flower Show, now in its 81st year. The festival is also being held in association with Lancashire Libraries.<br /><br />Authors attending the festival include Mark Billingham, Stuart MacBride, Tamsyn Murray, Sue Shephard, Mike Pannett, Toby Buckland and Tess Gerritsen. There will be author signings, events and talks as well as a SilverDell bookshop on site.<br /><br />Silverwood (<em>pictured</em>) said she was both &quot;very pleased [and] really proud&quot; she has been able to bring so many authors together for the inaugural festival. She added: &quot;Fingers crossed it will be something I&#39;ll really be able to establish...the flower show organisers are already talking about next year.&quot;<br /><br />Silverwood said the flower show yearly sees visitors of between 72,000 and 75,000. There is an admission fee to the flower show although the festival is free.</p>
