Silk swaps MBA for Kingsford Campbell

Julia Silk will join Kingsford Campbell this month from MBA where she has been a literary agent since 2016.

Silk will bring clients with her including Owen Booth, Maisie Hill and Charlotte Philby. Before starting as an agent at MBA in 2016, Silk was an editor at Orion for almost a decade, where she headed the digital crime imprint The Murder Room.

She will start on 25th February, working alongside founders Charlie Campbell and Julia Kingsford as well as associate agent Charlotte Atyeo, who joined the company in 2017 after almost two decades as an editor.

Campbell said: "We think Julia is one of the most exciting and dynamic agents out there. She is the perfect fit for our agency, bringing her editorial expertise and fantastic list of clients. With her and Charlotte onboard, we have a terrific team."

Kingsford added: "We've known and admired Julia for both her taste and her energy since her days as an editor and are so happy she'll be joining us".

Silk said: “The combination of Julia’s renowned ability to translate ideas into action and Charlie’s wealth of experience are what make Kingsford Campbell such a great team, and I can’t wait to continue to build my list with them and contribute to the agency’s growth and success.”

She will be available on julia.silk@kingsfordcampbell.com.
