Scribe UK has signed a novel from Tessa McWatt, looking at the lives of modern Londoners.
Editor-at-large Philip Gwyn Jones signed English language rights (excluding north America) and worldwide translation rights to Higher Ed in a deal with Andrew Kidd at Aitken Alexander.
The book follows five key characters as their families, careers and lives interact around an East London university.
McWatt is a Canadian and British citizen who has taught at the University of East London for several years. Higher Ed will be published by Random House Canada in Canada. In the UK, she was previously published by Heinemann and Cornerstone. It will be released in late summer 2015.
