Scholastic signs four-book deal with Holly Webb

Scholastic has signed a four-book deal with Holly Webb, author of The Clever Little Kitten and the Magic Molly series.

Webb signed the deal for world rights through her agent Julia Churchill and A M Heath. A Tiger Tale will follow Webb’s previous A Cat Called Penguin, The Chocolate Dog and Looking for Bear, each based on an important moment in childhood and enhanced by illustrations. Two further Emily Feather adventures for 8+ readers will be released in in February and August 2014 and in 2015, Scholastic will publish Holly’s, as-yet-untitled, illustrated sequel to the children’s classic, The Secret Garden, by Frances Hodgson Burnett.

Webb said: “The Secret Garden is one of my favourite childhood books, and I can still remember being given it for Christmas. I'm so excited about revisiting that hugely atmospheric house on the moors, and of course, the garden."
